Welcome to Maru, a restaurant gem since 2018. Enjoy our cosy new look and an extended menu that combines sumptuous, authentic Korean dishes from two talented Korean chefs, Hyunsil Park and Young Joo Shin.
Hyunsil and Young Joo bring their own personal flare, experience, and creativity to make Maru’s menu one you won’t forget. Dine in for lunch or dinner, take away, or have your favourite dish delivered to your home. Pair with a new selection of affordable quality wines, or end your dining experience with one of our homemade desserts.

Current owner and chef Hyunsil Park has been bringing her passion for authentic Korean dishes to Bournemouth since 2018. Offering traditional Korean lunch and evening meals she quickly attracted a loyal following to the Maru Restaurant, whether that is dine in, takeaway or home delivery.
The newest member to the team is Young Joo Shin. Since arriving in the UK in 2003 Young has been encouraging people to try something different and found a contented following of Korean ‘foodies’ who subsequently came eagerly to her feature pop up kitchens locally in the New Forest.
Young brings her unique flair and creativity to the Maru menu and together they serve a delightful selection of traditional Korean lunches and evening meals, the highlight being the Korean BBQ and Hotpot.
